French Apple Pie
Ingredients
Pie
- 6 cups sliced pared tart apples
- 1 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp. softened margarine
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup baking mix (Bisquick or other)
Streusel
- 1 cup backing mix
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp. firm margarine
Directions
- Heat oven to 325 degrees and grease pie plate (10 x 1 1/2 inches). Mix apples and spices - turn into plate
- Beat remaining ingredients except Steusel until smooth (15 seconds in blender)
- Pour into plate and sprinkle with Streusel.
- Bake 55 to 65 minutes (or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean)
